Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is perhaps the most famous of all the classical composers who are holding a special place in the entire music history. Today his pieces are often heard throughout concerts in the whole world. Although he died very young, when he was 35 years old, he left behind timeless masterpieces.

Mozart was born at Salzburg in January 1756. Before he was five he composed little pieces and played the piano very well. A year later he was with his father on tour and everyone who heard his music were astonished and amazed. When he was only 8 years old he played in London in front of King George III and his Queen. The little boy impressed anyone who gave him anything to play at first sight or to reproduce something he just heard. He was a wonder child, a genius.

Mozart developed his unique art and by the time he was fourteen he went to Italy. He played so magnificently in Naples that the public was astonished. He removed the ring from his finger, because the audience thought it was a talisman or something bewitched, but he played better than he ever played before. He was famous for the way he wrote and sang his pieces.

In 1777 the genius and his mother moved in Paris, but the lady didn’t like the country, the French and most of all the language. She said that the people in Paris are like donkeys, that their language has been created by the devil and that they are the worst singers. In 1779 Wolfgang returned in Germany because his mother died. He lived in Mannheim in a little room with a piano, a table and a bed. He met Constance Weber, a beautiful lady with black eyes and a kind soul and they got married. The wedding took place in Vienna at St. Stephan’s church.

They managed the money very bad. Once a friend made them a visit and they were dancing in their room. We were cold and have no wood to make fire, they explained. The glorios Mozart was a poor man who lived in depressing conditions. They moved in Vienna, he composed pieces like he was a entire industry of music, wich soon killed him. He created his greatest works in his last years: the four symphonies, operas, sonatas, Don Giovanni, Figaro, The Magic Flute and more others.

Mozart earned few money for his works, so he was always poor. In 1791 he got seek an weak and finally died on 5th December. He was burried in a poor coffin and before the service was over thunders and a great rainstorm broke from heaven.
