Louis Tocque (19 November 1696 - 10 February 1772), French portrait painter, engraver.

Marie Leszczynska, queen France
He was the student and the son-in-law of Jean-Marc Nattier, in whose studio he worked for a while, producing copies of famous paintings. Before meeting Nattier, Tocque studied with Nicolas Bertin. An admirer of Rigaud and Largillierre, he was influenced by them, but the main influence was that of Nattier. He worked for most of his life in Paris, except for a period spent in St Petersburg and in Copenhagen, where he would return in 1769.
He may have taken part in Pierre Crozat's project, begun in 1721, to publish engravings of the paintings in the collection of Regent Philippe II, Duke of Orleans. He also made several drawings, together with Nattier and Watteau and a series of engravings after the works of Charles Le Brun, in the Grande Galerie at Versailles.
