The Eiffel Tower - one of the symbols of Paris

Paris, the capital of France, the city of lover is one of the most romantic place on Earth. The flowers, the fountains, the statues, the architecture, all have a special charm. The Paris is a place brimming with romantic possibilities. One of the most famous monuments in the city is The Eiffel Tower.

Tower construction began on January 28, 1887. It was inaugurated on March 31, 1889 and opened to the public two months later. With a height of 324 meters (300 meters without antenna) offers a splendid view over the city. When it was built it was the tallest building in the world. Initially, the Parisians did not appreciate this building, considering it unsightly. But today is considered the symbol of the city and one of the most striking pieces of architectural art in the world. One of the cliches of Hollywood is the view from a Parisian window, which always includes the Eiffel Tower.

Tower has three levels: public access to the first and second level can be both stairs and elevator, access to the top floor is made exclusively by lift. The tower has two restaurants: Le 58 tour Eiffel, on the first floor and the Le Jules Verne, on the second floor, with a private lift. Le Jules Verne restaurant has one star in the Michelin Red Guide. Breakfast at the "58 Tour Eiffel" starts at 20 euro and the cost for dinner for one person starts at 76.5 euros.

The Eiffel Tower is host to more than 7 million visitors per year, with almost 75 percent of those visitors from countries other than France. You can buy two types of tickets online: elevator access to the top of the tower or elevator access to the first 2 floors. If you prefer to take the stairs, you will have to purchase your tickets at the tower because stair only tickets are not available for purchase online. Guided tours are available for those visitors who not only want to enjoy the views, but also desire to learn about the Eiffel Tower's history and construction.

Is something magical about visiting the Eiffel Tower at night. Riding up the Eiffel Tower at night, looking out over the streets of Paris, you'll see why Paris is known as the "City of Light." At street level, seeing the spotlight on the top of the Tower zoom across the Paris skyline, and the reflection of the Tower in the Seine are sights not to be missed. All in all, the Eiffel Tower is something everyone must visit during their lifetime.
