The huge and impressive box set The Early Years 1965 - 1972 (no less than 27 discs) released in November 2016 seems to have only started a comprehensive list of surprises coming from legendary band Pink Floyd, as the fans discovered on the official YouTube channel a 15 minute live recording of Atom Heart Mother. Shot on August 8 1970, when the group played during the St. Tropez Festival, it is a rare glimpse into the "70s Floyd", a quarter of an hour of one of the most important songs in their early history, and a great opportunity to see the band as it was at that time. It isn't everyday that you can see on the same stage Gilmour, Waters, Mason and Wright on the same stage, playing one of their best and most influential compositions, and thinking that it has been over four decades ago only makes it more of a treasure. And according to official info there are more such snippets, videos and unknown - or only available to serious collectors - recordings that will be released, one way or the other, over the following months.
