The latest confirmed act for the ARTMANIA Festival 2008 in Sibiu, Romania, is the famous German group Lacrimosa, one of the most important and original bands ever, who return to Romania, with no doubt fond memories of their last concert held here, in Bucharest. It is great that the organisers of the now respected and popular art festival could enrich the list of performances with Lacrimosa, for this band has been a favourite of Romanian rock listeners for many years.
The Lacrimosa concert will be on July 18th 2008 at the ARTMANIA Festival and the two members of the band, Tillo Wolf and Anne Nurmi will offer the public a setlist of older and newer songs from their nine studio albums, all very successful and known. With a distinct and original sound, and excentric and instantly recognisable look and a style that is both heavy, complicated, rich and diverse, Lacrimosa has made it's mark on music for several years now. Their concerts are impressive presentations, which combine music, graphics and videos, stage antics and coregraphy, making every concert a real show.
The last album of the band, "Lichtgestal", was launched in 2005 and was considered to be one of the most important gothic metal products of the decade, marking the passing of 15 years since the founding of Lacrimosa. In 2008 the two are working on the 10th studio album, and it will be a nice surprise for them to include some new songs from it on the setlist of the concert.
