Edvin Marton concert in Bucharest
The Hungarian violonist and composer Edvin Marton, well known worldwide for his shows, will perform on the 28th of september in Bucharest, at Sala Palatului, together with the Monte Carlo Orchestra and the Dance Group Brioni. The show is organised by Amphitrion.
Edvin Marton is considered to be one of the most successful violonists in the whole world. He has won several awards, including "Golden Violin" and "Emmy 2006". He gained his celebrity mainly because of his yearly performances at the Skating World Championship. During these events he plays his violin while the world-renowned skater Evgheni Plusenko (world champion) is doing his magic of the surface of ice.
Marton had various colaborations with other famous musicians, such as Seal, Zucchero, Placido Domingo or Gloria Gaynor.
Ar the Romanian concert Marton will play an Antonio Stradivarius violin, manufactured in 1698. This wonderful instrument has a value of over four million dolars and was donated to the artist, for the rest of his life, by the National Bank of Switzerland. There only eight other violins of this quality in the whole world, most of them being stored in museums. The prices of the concert tickets will vary between 50 and 150 RON.
