- All sites declared Patrimony of Humanity are among the most exciting destinations in the world, with a gorgeous unique beauty that has to be preserved to the future generations.
 
Because of the universal value that exceeds normal rates of beauty, these places that must be preserved are a part of the Heritage of Humanity list.
 
Humanity Heritage Convention, adopted by 186 countries untill now, has managed to put on the Humanity Heritage List over 890 sites.
 
Romania has seven sites declared Patrimony of Humanity, each of them unique in the world. Danube Delta was included in the list in 1991. The single natural site in the country and also the largest and best preserved of all the deltas in Europe, Danube Delta is a magnific place that everyone must see in a lifetime.
 
Also, the Danube Delta presented in the Wikipedia with the same name, is also one of Biosphere Reserves and Wetlands of International Importance UNESCO.
 
With over 300 species of birds and 75 species of fish, the Danube Delta is a true wonder of nature.
