Venetia is a great place where you can spend some good quality time with your love. The places and soroundings are very romantic and the architecture of the town is impressive.
Between 6 and 16 february 2010 you can also participate to the Venice Carnival. This carnival was re-launched about two decades ago and since then it's an event not to be missed.

St. Valentine's Day in Barcelona
Barcelona is another good place to spend some time with your half. You can stay at lower prices to a four star hotel and you can enjoy Valentine's Day visiting all the romantic places with an important history.
Les Rambles, a series of streets that go from downtown to the water front are notable. You will discover that even late night this place is full of people, the florists and bird sellers are also present here. The restaurants and bars ar open till late and the word "boring" does not characterize Barcelona.
Going up or down Les Rambles you will see the prestigious opera El Liceu, the market La Boqueria and Placa Reial.
