Pavel Alaszu, Romanian painter and illustrator

Paul Alaszu, Romanian painter and illustrator, was born on 11 november 1942, in Timisoara.

He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Timisoara, the 1968 promotion. He had professors as Peter Jecsa and Romul Nutiu, two of the best professors in fine arts from Romania, at that time. Also he continued the studies three years in Bucharest, at the Education Management University.

He was the director of the Arad Artistic Guidance Center and for a small period he was the president of the Union of the Romanian Fine Artists.

He successfully collaborated with the Romanians from Hungary through the exchange of exhibitions and mutual participation to the creation camps annualy held between the two countries.

In 1968, after graduation he enters in the art exhibitions world at the Annual Art Hall from Timis county. In the same year he posts his works of art at the biennial exhibition of sculpture and painting from Bucharest and Cluj. During his activity he participated to all the national exhibitions organised by the Union of the Romanian Fiine Artists.
